Do's of Website Designing

Website designing is not an easy task. It requires special skills and understanding the mentality of the site’s target audience. Not every designer who learns Java Script, Flash, CSS, HTML and Photoshop can be a great designer-the skill sets of a person depends a lot upon how he or she deals with the real challenge of making a website usable.

Website designing is a tricky chore and some things work whereas others don’t. As a professional website design company, Eclick Softwares and Solutions has discussed about some important do’s of website designing, which every website designer should follow:

Do’s

Make the landing page visually appealing
The world may say that people don’t just judge a book by its cover, but that is not true always. When it is buying a product or availing a service from a website, the first thing people do if they are not aware of the brand is see how attractive the website is. They see the landing page or the home page first. Only if they find the site attractive or visually appealing, they move to the inner pages and search for the information that they are looking for.  So, in order to increase the sales of your client’s site, the first thing that you will need to do is focus on the landing page.

Allow your page to load in 1-2 seconds
Visitors are generally very impatient. They don’t wait too long for a site to open in a browser. So, if a site takes more than five seconds to load, the visitor usually jumps to another site, which is more faster than this one. What’s the result? The visitor buys the product from the other site than the one that took a long time to load. So, you should make sure that the web page, which you design loads in 1-2 seconds. If not, that would the affect the sales of the business.

Make the navigation easy
If a site has more than 5-6 pages, make sure to give the visitors an easy way to move around the website. Make use of a simple navigation menu system right at the left or top of the page. Your visitor should be able to search what he or she is looking for with just 2-3 clicks. You can even design a visible search box on the site for the visitors to search in an effective manner.

Choose the right colour scheme
Before you choose the colour scheme for the site, you need to understand who will be the site’s target audience or visitors. Only if you know your visitors’ emotions, you will be able to choose the colour scheme for the site properly. For example, if you are designing a site for medical professionals or healthcare industry, a lighter and more open colour scheme is what the visitors will prefer. So, choose the colours accordingly.

Develop a responsive site
It has become of utmost important these days to develop a responsive layout when it comes to website designing. With a responsive layout, a site can be opened in smartphones as well as in laptops and PCs. So, when it is responsive, website owners do not need to design a mobile-friendly site and desktop-friendly site separately-all can be done with one layout. However, whether the design will be responsive or not will depend on the client’s budget.

Focus on the text
The size and font of the text should be easily readable.

These are some of the most important do’s that every web designer needs to follow when designing a website.

Google Has Planned To Offer Training To 2 Million Mobile Application Developers In India

In the country of diversity Google revealed a slew of initiatives for educating and certifying students as well as programmers as part of its Android skilling programme. This programme aims to offer training to 2,000,000 mobile application developers in India.

The ILT programme on Android Fundamentals is going to be available across private and public universities & training institutes of National Skill Development Corporation.

Today, Android dominates the world market for mobile OS and competes with Apple that even invests in enabling the developers to make mobile apps for iOS.

Google's Vice President of Product Management, Caesar Sengupta, said “India is expected to have the largest developer population globally, overtaking the US, by 2018, with 4 million developers, but only 25% are building for mobile today. We believe India is uniquely placed to innovate and shape the Internet experience of billions of users who are and will come online on the mobile platform.”

In-person training module integrated into course curriculum is going to be introduced in 2016 itself without any extra fee. It is going to be made available for free on National Programme On Technology Enhanced Learning platform, which is an initiative of IITs & Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, as part of its online mobile computing course. This is to be started on July 18.

This move of Google came after Apple planned to open up a development accelerator in Bangalore for providing specialised support to the iOS developers. The American multinational technology company has in fact tied up with Koenig, Edureka, Simplilearn, Manipal Global,UpGrad and Udacity, among others, which is going to operate as certified Android training partners in the country.

The programme is hoped to be offered in about two thousands universities training almost four thousand faculty for reaching more than 2 lakh 50 thousand students per year. Google is going to offer training to their trainers & update Android courseware for preparing the students for Android certification as well as a career in the field of Android development.

Google will even open-source all the fundamental practicals & courseware of Android developer and make everything available to everyone without taking any charge. Sengupta said, “We want to contribute to the Skill India initiative and help make India the global leader in mobile app development.”
