Do's of Website Designing

Website designing is not an easy task. It requires special skills and understanding the mentality of the site’s target audience. Not every designer who learns Java Script, Flash, CSS, HTML and Photoshop can be a great designer-the skill sets of a person depends a lot upon how he or she deals with the real challenge of making a website usable.

Website designing is a tricky chore and some things work whereas others don’t. As a professional website design company, Eclick Softwares and Solutions has discussed about some important do’s of website designing, which every website designer should follow:

Do’s

Make the landing page visually appealing
The world may say that people don’t just judge a book by its cover, but that is not true always. When it is buying a product or availing a service from a website, the first thing people do if they are not aware of the brand is see how attractive the website is. They see the landing page or the home page first. Only if they find the site attractive or visually appealing, they move to the inner pages and search for the information that they are looking for.  So, in order to increase the sales of your client’s site, the first thing that you will need to do is focus on the landing page.

Allow your page to load in 1-2 seconds
Visitors are generally very impatient. They don’t wait too long for a site to open in a browser. So, if a site takes more than five seconds to load, the visitor usually jumps to another site, which is more faster than this one. What’s the result? The visitor buys the product from the other site than the one that took a long time to load. So, you should make sure that the web page, which you design loads in 1-2 seconds. If not, that would the affect the sales of the business.

Make the navigation easy
If a site has more than 5-6 pages, make sure to give the visitors an easy way to move around the website. Make use of a simple navigation menu system right at the left or top of the page. Your visitor should be able to search what he or she is looking for with just 2-3 clicks. You can even design a visible search box on the site for the visitors to search in an effective manner.

Choose the right colour scheme
Before you choose the colour scheme for the site, you need to understand who will be the site’s target audience or visitors. Only if you know your visitors’ emotions, you will be able to choose the colour scheme for the site properly. For example, if you are designing a site for medical professionals or healthcare industry, a lighter and more open colour scheme is what the visitors will prefer. So, choose the colours accordingly.

Develop a responsive site
It has become of utmost important these days to develop a responsive layout when it comes to website designing. With a responsive layout, a site can be opened in smartphones as well as in laptops and PCs. So, when it is responsive, website owners do not need to design a mobile-friendly site and desktop-friendly site separately-all can be done with one layout. However, whether the design will be responsive or not will depend on the client’s budget.

Focus on the text
The size and font of the text should be easily readable.

These are some of the most important do’s that every web designer needs to follow when designing a website.

5 Logo Design Tips For Your Business from eClick Softwares and Solutions

A logo is the face of your company. It creates the first impression about your business. So, you need to make sure the design of your company logo represents your business the right way.  Not only should it be attractive and creative, it must also be effective and powerful to market and brand your company for years to come. Just think about the logos of IBM, Apple, Coca-Cola and McDonald. These are popular brands and their logos are meaningful, memorable, powerful and personable.

Eclick Softwares and Solutions is a web design and development company in Australia specializing in logo design and other web development works. Here are some of their logo design tips for businesses that want to create a logo for their own company. Go through them if you are interested.
  1. If you are a company wanting to create a logo for your own business you can ask your logo designer to take inspiration or ideas from others in the industry, but make sure your logo is in no way same in design to your competitors. It should be simple yet must stand apart from the crowd giving your business a distinguishing identity. To make your logo distinctive, you should ask your logo designer to use colors, image and shape that’s unique. The logo designer should be creative when designing a logo for your company.

  2. Logos are word-marks or symbols that identifies a company, a service or a product. So, it should be relevant to what your company represents. However, this doesn’t mean that we are asking you to suggest your logo designer to include pictographs of what your business or product or service is all about. In fact, this would make the logo disastrous. Just think about the logos of Nike or McDonald—there is no shoe or hamburger in the design of the logos respectively, yet everyone knows who they are and what they mean.

  3. Even if your target audience is highly intellectual and educated, make sure they do not have to think too much for understanding your logo. Always ask your designer to keep your company logo simple because simple things are easy to understand and readable. Simple drawings and text will be remembered more by your potential customers.

  4. Make sure the logo designer you hire doesn't go with the new technologies and trends while designing your company logo. Think about how it will look 10-20 years later if you opt for a logo design that's in trend now. The logo must be timeless rather than being temporary and trendy.

  5. The logo must always work well in black and white no matter what is its original color or design. The design should be such that it can be resized without any issue. It must look good in any kind of marketing. If your brand logo looks good on hoardings but horrible on pens, it will never get popularity.
